So I've been thinking about designing a new website for Doomed Space Marine. The new site would feature a lot more in-depth content and extra downloads and such. I don't have hosting right now but I'll likely be using either Hosting24 or GoDaddy. Speaking of which.... I'm going to have to re-new the domain name before too long.
I'm also going to try giving the website a graphical over-haul. I'm used to designing my own sites so I'm not completely sure just how flexible the blogger engine is. Expect... something....
When it comes to collecting classic DOOM merchandise... it's hard to pass up on a mint condition 95 gold rated un-opened box of it for the Super NES. This game is currently selling on eBay for about $475 Canadian compared to the standard used cartridge only version selling at about $25. Look at it... just look at it...
Wow I haven't updated this site in a long time... still no new DOOM beta or screenshots or ANYTHING to be seen! But until then is some fan art I found posted on the official DOOM Facebook page (found here) posted by a guy named "Alessio Facchin". Pretty cool looking if you ask me.

I came across these images of a Hungarian DOOM book series written by an author who goes by Damien Forrestal. Kind of cool, my grandfather on my dads side is from Hungary.

DOOM RPG is for the iPod, iPad, and iPhone. Will the new game coming out in beta by Bethesda and ID Software be an open world action RPG or stay to the classic level design?
I pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order on Steam today for $60 USD. It's supposed to come out May 20th or something. I'm now officially a DOOM beta tester. I'm just hoping that Steam launches the same day as everyone else. Saves me the convenience of going to the store. While I was at it I also decided to purchase the original Wolfenstein 3D (off Steam as well) for $5 USD. Personally I think the game pretty much sucks but it brings back childhood memories of going to friends that had it... as well it was the spearhead to the DOOM series. Figured I might as well play through its horrible sound effects.

The long lost 1995 Bill Gates promotional video for Doom, described in the "Judgment Day" chapter of the book Masters of Doom, has been found! There's Microsoft's CEO in a trenchcoat w/shotgun, blowing the gibs from an unsuspecting fanboy. It must be seen to be believed.
Matthew Hooper, ID Software's creative director said "Those images have nothing to do with what you're going to see in DOOM 4..." ... Will DOOM Beta take us back to Mars' moon, or will it be a Hell on Earth?
I'm going to pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order from Best Buy for $70 on the 25th and it comes out May 20th. I normally wouldn't be buying the game but it comes with "DOOM Beta Access"... nothing has been announced about the new DOOM except that you gain a beta key by pre-ordering the new Wolfenstein game... no screenshots, nothing. I'll keep you posted on any news about the beta as it comes out... if it even comes out before the beta. On testing day expect to see video and screenshots.
